Fasting will commence on Monday, March 11th, while the first night of Taraweeh prayers will be tonight, March 10th, following the Ishaa Jamaat at 8:30 pm. We extend our warmest wishes to our beloved community, praying for Allah’s mercy and protection throughout this sacred month. May Allah grant us the ability and help us seize this precious time to engage in sincere worship and righteous deeds, seeking nothing but His pleasure. Edinburgh Annual Quran Competition – 1445
The Mosque is pleased to announce the return of our annual Ramadan Quran Competition. The search is on for participants who will showcase their Quranic recitation and understanding skills.
This Quran competition is a great opportunity to help our children
deepen their connection with the Quran.
Categories and Age Groups
The competition will be divided into several categories based on the participants’ age and how much they memorized from the Quran:
- Ad-Duha to An-Nas category, for participants up to 7 years old.
- Juz’ 30 category, for participants up to 12 years old.
- Juz’s 29 – 30 category, for participants up to 14 years old.
- Juz’z 28-29 – 30 category, for participants up to 16 years old.
- Open Category (6 Juz’z), for participants up to 18 years old.

Learn how to save a life with BIMA’s Livesavers basic life support training.
Training includes how to perform CPR, recovery positions and choking management.
Certificates will be provided upon completion.
